GRAND RAPIDS, MICH — In the cold, snowy winter months, you can bet that Michigan residents are dreaming of some warmer weather. So, Extra Credit Projects and Gerald R. Ford International Airport snapped at the opportunity to remind audiences of their nonstop getaway options to Florida.
Through a collaboration with OUTFRONT Grand Rapids and SoftSigns3D, the inflatable, illuminated reptile encourages viewers to book their spring break travel plans with the West Michigan airport.
This simple, spectacular execution is a follow-up to a giant inflatable flamingo design that ran in late 2024, when the Airport recorded their most successful year to date. It’s all part of a fun and lighthearted campaign for the West Michigan airport, voted Best Small Airport in 2024 by USAToday.
