GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park has announced a record-breaking annual visitor attendance of 881,625 guests in 2025, marking the highest number of annual visitors in the organization’s 30-year history.
Meijer Gardens and their agency partner, Extra Credit Projects (ECP), have been working toward increasing visitors over the last several years, and have seen continued success in their marketing efforts.
Through strategic creative messaging and media placements, Meijer Gardens has also seen consecutive annual visitor increases for the Fred and Dorothy Ficther Butterflies Are Blooming exhibition. After working together to name, brand and launch their new winter light show, ENLIGHTEN saw year-over-year success, exceeding ticket sales goals by 40% in its inaugural year and bringing even more visitors in its second year.
“It was truly a massive success we could have only dreamed of for our first year. What we did as a team really garnered results,” said Carol Kendra, Chief Operating Officer of Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park.
